So, I have the unfortunate combination of somewhat light skin and really dark hair. This means that every time I shave my legs, there are little brown dots on my leg. These don't hurt or anything, but they are extremely unsightly. I've tried waxing, but instead of little brown dots everywhere I have little pink dots. These don't go away ever!
Any advice on how to minimize these would be really helpful! (If there are any specific products you know of, that would be awesome!)How to get rid of spots on leg (from shaving)?

Hi Karen,
stop eating cheese!
May sound like a silly answer but excess dark hair on the legs is actually produced by the consumption of cow dairy produce. One of the ways in which the human body can eject these poisons is to ';load'; them into the hair follicles producing dark hair. Because the circulation is slower below the pelvis than above, this tends to concentrate in the leg skin. Pull the hair our (waxing) and the poisons in the follicle inflame the skin.
A basic detoxification from cow dairy will take about nine months so don't expect the dark hairs and red spots to disappear overnight. A complete detox can take 12 years.
A macrobiotic consultant can advise you on a detoxification diet for you. Ask at the kushi institute for details of your nearest.

are you sure they are not open pores when you shave make sure you use a razer with 3 blades shave with hair conditioner i know it sound odd but it makes the hair on your legs soft and it wont irritate the skin and after you have finish rinse your legs with cold water to close the pores make sure you do this on a regular bases so your pores will stay small i have the same problem but doing this helped and my legs look gorgeous good look hun
okay, first moisturise with sensitive skin product before you shave
if they itch don't scratch them
althoug hI find they go within a day or two
if they are really bad and it's making you feel bad about the way they look you could wear tights (although with the weather we're getting you'd have to really hate them!)
Maybe try an exfoliation mit first, and then use a shaving cream with aloe in it? And, maybe dont do it everyday. Wait until there is a little length.
Have you tried using moisturisers, or extrapolating, it hurts the first few times, but the hair does go lighter after a bit.
Whenever I get little dots after shaving, I just try Aloe Vera and it usually clears right up and makes my legs soft, too.
i use baby oil when i shave and i swear it works. i have had the same problem.
best of luck!
